This episode is for you when you find yourself at a point in your journey when you are brushing up against the void.

What is the void?

The void is a space in time, essentially the gap between who you have been up until this moment and who you are becoming. It’s the journey from the old self to the new self, and it tends to happen right before you have a really big break through. When you grow in this way, it is only natural for you to outgrow aspects of your old self and things in your life that were once really aligned.

For women that are dedicated to a lifetime of expansion and growth, this is a process that will continue to show up for you. This is something that will never truly end if you are committed to becoming a better version of yourself, you will face these seasons of ebbs and flows.

We are here to continue to expand into the most radiant, expressed powerful version of ourselves. The void is a catalyst for change and I want to support you to navigate this space in-between. How we navigate these waters is so important, because this time can feel really sticky, it’s a time where your energy can feel really, really wobbly.

During these seasons so much about you is changing from the inside out; you are physically, energetically, spirituality changing WHO YOU ARE. This is part of the growth journey and it is happening for you to draw loving awareness to certain aspects of yourself but this is a space that can feel so damn wobbly.

It can feel like you are desperately trying so hard to get grounded, like a fawn or baby trying to walk, shaky trying to get your footing.

If you are listening to this I know that you are so committed to your growth and to creating the absolute best version of you. I want to honour how much courage this kind of growth takes, here you are committed to excellence being the standard rather than settling for mediocrity.

Challenges That Arise When Navigating The Void

One of the biggest challenges I see women experience when they find themselves in the void, is they try to FORCE their way through it. 

They are busy asking themselves things like: 

“How can I speed this up?” 

“Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it”

“Where is my quantum leap?”

“Give me the 5 step process so I can skip this part”

But that’s not how this works. This is a space where you are meant to FEEL discomfort. Trying to bypass it, to avoid the discomfort, actually prolongs the process.

Consider the caterpillar turning into a butterfly trying to grow wings faster. It takes as long as it takes.

So many women attach meaning to this part and create a story around it. This must mean it’s not meant for me, I’m not doing enough, it must mean something about me that proves I am not worthy and none of this is true.

There is a good chance here that there is nothing left for you to do. But to lean back and to surrender to this process – don’t be afraid of it, don’t make it mean anything about you, and stop trying to avoid it. This kind of ascension does not work on your timeline.

How long is it going to take? I don’t know.

You are being transformed, you are outgrowing pieces of yourself and when that happens, we find ourselves outgrowing people, things, habits, behaviours, beliefs, fears. Things that you used to enjoy doing don’t feel like they used to, conversations you used to love to have just don’t do it for you anymore. You’re outgrowing things in your business, if you are a coach, you might be realising that you’re out growing your clients, out growing your brand.

Why do we experience it?

You are on a new trajectory, you are recalibrating, you are writing a new energetic signature.

This outgrowing phase can be one of the most uncomfortable because it’s just hard to make sense of so much. This layer of my business used to light me up and now I’m bored, this part of my life I was settling in used to feel okay and now those patterns just aren’t cutting it anymore.

You are in the process of waking up to something so much greater but you are in the thick of it right BEFORE you get ‘there’. Wherever this iteration of ‘there’ is.

There is so much uncertainty, we can’t see the path, this is a growing pain. I think of it like that awkward teenage phase, or childbirth. There is the most intense pressure right before the most magical love &  joy.

These are the moments in between. This is where your greatest expansion lies.

IN THE VOID YOUR GREATEST EXPANSION LIES.

Lessons, healing, found in the darkness and shadows. During this time funky beliefs bubble to the service yearning for your attention, what emotions and ways of being desire to be released? What you resist persists so look within. What’s calling for your loving awareness, because awareness is the first step to change. 

Joe Dispenza speaks of a concept he calls ‘The Identity Gap’ this is the gap between

How we appear (The identity I want to project onto the world) vs Who we really are (How I feel). He speaks of the layers of emotion that sit in-between that gap.

Unworthiness 

Anger

Fear

Shame

Self-doubt

Guilt

I feel that this concept is a big part of why we experience the void, to close that gap, to process those emotions and to step into the embodiment of who we are here to be.

How can we support and love ourselves through it?

We can close the gap between the old self and the new self a little faster by simply being aware of what is happening.

Softening instead of striving. 

Draw on emotional alchemy practices to feel and be with your emotions during this time, mediation, journaling to bring your subconscious mind forward and embodiment exercises to drop from your head into your body I find super powerful.

And remember;

The challenges you are going through are just as much a part of your expansion, what you don’t realise is at some level you ask for them. 

“I want to be strong.”

“I want to be brave.”

“I want to be confident.” 

The Universe gives you an opportunity to be courageous in the face of adversity.

This is about loving awareness – I’m in the void right now and I’m simply going to surrender to it rather than trying to control it. Because when we try to control it, we go at it from our logical mind, we get in our heads about what the lesson is and we add all of this necessary meaning and resistance.

I’m going to see this for what it is and I’m going to lean back. I’m going to remember my power, I’m going to remember that the universe has my back, I’m going to remember that this is in fact happening for me. I’m going to remember that this 

When you try to avoid this part of the process or hurry it along you miss exactly what you were supposed to see.

When you try to control it, the universe is like: “She’s not ready” so you actually prolong the space in between. Let go, accept where you are and just see what is here for you. In that moment, you hold your energy, you hold your power. 

A lot of the time when we are in the trenches we don’t know why it’s happening, we don’t know why we are going through it, but on the other side, you will have wisdom. There is something so big here for you, trust it. Trust that you can hold this.

The universe knows you can hold the money and the clients but can you hold the polarity. This is shaping you into the woman you are here to be so let your business initiate you.

Business is the biggest personal growth and spiritual journey you will ever go on and it can feel like a lot to navigate that. Test your boundaries, your resilience, your tenacity to SHOW that you can in fact hold it. It’s going to give you the opportunity to expand your capacity to hold your energy. When we know that there is something bigger and we start to build it and create it. It’s the most incredible feeling that we can rewrite generational patterns and redefine what it means to be a woman. There will be growing pains. 

I’ve witnessed this cycle in myself and in SO MANY WOMEN over the last 10 years. I know what it’s like to be in the moments in between. You’re trying to find who it is that you really are. You’re searching for your truth, for your power, for your voice, what you are meant to do and who you are meant to be. I get it and I have such a burning desire to walk with women that are in this space. To walk side by side, woman to woman, leader to leader to remind you of who you are and what you came here to do. Because there is a very good chance that you are going through this because you asked for this. It’s here to strengthen you and call you forward into the woman you are here to be. So lean in my love, it is NOT going to break you, you can hold it. Keep going, don’t unplug, continue holding your energy, you’ve just got to trust a little bit more. You have got this.

It is a necessary part of the process that occurs when we are dancing between our old self and our new self. 

Death and rebirth is part of life and when we desire to transition to our next level there are parts of our identity, belief systems, ways of being and behaving that no longer serve our future.

The void is a gap in time between who we have been and who we are becoming, this is such a pivotal moment in time that I see so many people struggle with and resist.

The trouble is, the more we resist this time and try to force our way through it, the longer it lingers. When we surrender to our emotional needs and trust this part of the process we allow the natural death and rebirth process to take place.
